In February 2009, the City of Wetaskiwin began its sustainability plan, Wetaskiwin Tomorrow. Over the next two years, Wetaskiwin experienced the largest consultation in the City’s history. Now its up to all of us. Wetaskiwin is an amazing place, with even better potential. To reach that potential involves knowing where we want to go and then working towards that vision together. This website is our attempt at such a vision.
I agree. Though Wetaskiwin needs SO much more this would be nice. Getting some business in like this would attract more business and so on, continuing like that.
it's very true … although it seems we need to set a clear direction on what kind of city we want to be so we can focus on getting some specific businesses that meet our needs.
This just in … straight from the horse's (well, Yum! Brand Restaurants) mouth:
"Unfortunately, right now we’re not aggressively developing stand-alone Taco Bell units. Our current strategy is to expand the Taco Bell brand by multibranding them with a KFC unit where market conditions and franchisee interest is favourable. Our Wetaskiwin franchisee has a number of KFCs through Alberta & they just relocated the KFC in town about 12-18 months ago. At that time they chose not to add TB there in the community. If our strategy changes, I will be sure to contact your department about where to look in town. Until then the best way to get the brand in town is to ask the KFC store about it. If a kid buys something there, say to staff that they should add Taco Bell to their location."
