Linsday Blackett, Minister of Culture and Community Spirit, stopped by City Hall this morning to present the City of Wetaskiwin with a cheque for $3.4 million to help with the construction of a new acquatic centre.

Wetaskiwin-Camrose MLA Verlyn Olson says:

“Wetaskiwin’s existing aquatic centre was built in 1982, and is starting to show its age. This new facility is much-needed, and will provide citizens in Wetaskiwin and surrounding communities with greater leisure and family recreation opportunties.”
