There is not enough young people or young families being heard

5 May 2009 One Comment

I think that this town is ran by all older members of the community that are apart of a group of people in this town that have been drinking buddies for a long time, they have money and have to much pull with what is going on to “better” the community! There is not enough young people or young families being heard or are just tired of trying to be heard! … Wetaskiwin Is dying! 30% of the community is under the age of 18 and/or has a family from k-12 still in school! That means that if we don’t try and make this a more attractive place for young families to come and get involved there will be nothing but old people!

That's spot on. It's hard to say how to change this though, I myself agree, the younger population isn't being heard but how can one change this? It's a bit puzzling.
