A better road going up to By-the-Lake Park

As the road is now, when you drive up that way it feels as if your going toward some desolate location. I think that having a nice road up there makes a large impact on people, it shows that the city really does care, and it would attract more people to go up there. The road right now is filled with pot holes and cracked areas, it feels as if your driving on a really bad dirt road with tons of rocks all over. It should be made a nice smooth ride for people.”

I would agree there. I go there often with my dogs and it's a horrible drive. As you have said, that's really big thing that Wetaskiwin has and it should be made to look that way.

I totally agree! I don't go up there anymore because of that, There are so many pot holes on the road I almost went off once, it's not just a eye sore it a safety hazard! I'm very surprised that Wetaskiwin hasn't done something about that, correction, I'm not surprised even slightly =)

UPDATE n At the September 14, 2009 Wetaskiwin City Council Meeting it was revealed that the By-the-Lake Park road and the landfill road rehabilitation were put out to tender. Responses have been received, reviewed and a decision will be made at an upcoming council meeting.
