I believe water is slowly being taken away from humans all over the world. Fountains have faltered and disappeared, water prices are steadily rising, and obtaining a free glass of water at a lot of restaurants is becoming a past-time.
The argument against more public water fountains is the vandalism or sanitary issues, and I say BAH-HUMBUG!!! Bring a sanitary wipe to wash the fountain, or make sure the municipal government intills workers to clean the fountains every day. Water is as necessary to us as air, so why not enjoy both of them at the same time? I am hoping we can fight for more fountains in green spaces and parks, so that when you are unable to afford clean water, you at least have somewhere to go to get what you deserve.
