I agree with the "good" listed here! I am especially blessed by the Pond Hockey program!!! Way to go Don from Instant Replay!!! My boys would not have any organized hockey if it wasn't for that!

I remember when the Movie Theater opened - WOW! I distinctly said: "We don't need to go to Edmonton for great sound and quality screen!"

The health care in this town is easily accessible and there is quite a committed group of caregivers in all the levels of care!!!

We could go on and on just with the list of Good presented here ...

I am going to stop there though ... it seems that once we start narrowing in on particular negative experiences [however real they might be] we start to define a town in a negative light.

Let's pay a little more attention to celebrating with our words and voices and stories and focus energy to address the negative through our actions!

We do become aware, and sometimes it is surprising and scary, of the things that are broken but, as we encourage Wetaskiwin Tomorrow with their plans and intent, we will indeed enjoy a much healthier and welcoming city. I believe that very deeply!

Sounds like you want to live in Camrose... n nMeth is a problem everywhere in Alberta. Towns half the size of Wetaskiwin have problems with meth. I went to the high school in town - teachers were great, now I know some of the teachers personally. All good people. n nThe only people who complain about the price of gas are the people who have to live in town & support businesses OUTSIDE of Wetaskiwin to be able to survive... n nPools don't make money. Maybe if more people used the pool, we would have a better pool. I'm getting sick of this 'other towns have better facilities' arguement. n nWhere are all of these gangs? No gang problem in Wetaskiwin. A well publicized gang problem in Hobbema, but when was the last drive-by shooting in Wetaskiwin? n nYou don't like it - leave.
