"City in Motion"“Wetaskiwn needs to get some momentum…positive momentum….”City in Motion” has lost its relativity. Better planning and more productive business recruitment and retention are needed.

And like any municipality, better maintenance of infrastructure…especially roads. Sometimes I just have to shake my head at the decisions that are made. Really? Is that the best council and administration can do?

Wetaskiwin needs to find a niche…become “known” for being family-friendly, a bedroom community to Edmonton, a nice place for seniors or the like…something more sustainable than “cars cost less.” It’s catchy, but do you really want the city identified by car dealerships?

I think Wetaskiwin needs to do a better job of working with its neighbors..and not just JEDI. That includes the First Nations. Engage your citizens for the long term, not just when it comes to a new plan. Plans are only useful if they are used, measured for success and then readjusted. Citizen, if you can find a way to get their buy-in, are the best placed to do just that.”
