Wetaskiwin needs to consider the gold mine it has in itself and in it’s neighbors in Hobbema. I would like to see a stronger partnership and active communication between Wetaskiwin and Hobbema and Hobbema and Wetaskiwin. It’s a long shot but it may be a step in the right direction to curb the subtle (and by subtle I do mean it, no one would ever fess up to the word) racism.

If we are talking Wetaskiwin Tomorrow it’s not about the now, it’s not about us. The next generation should be our aim. Yes, those snotty nosed, red-eyed teenager that have nothing to do. I belive the City should propose a joint youth effort with Hobbema in the form of sports and recreation.This could potentially get more Wetaskiwin families visiting Hobbema and more Hobbema families visiting Wetaskiwin. I know that both communities would be learning something in the process!

In this case ignorance is not bliss.
