I think Wetaskiwin is one of the more extraordinary towns in Alberta.

Before I moved here the reputation I heard was cars, museum and “Natives” … the third being indicated as negative.

I see a deep beauty in this town when we get past the surface and the intended attractions. I see a great revolution of hope and health as we get past the negative of present problems and see what could be as our relationship with First Nations Peoples grows!!!

I am proud to be a part of the community of Wetaskiwin in the surrounding area. I am proud of the Wetaskiwin And District Ministerial Association. I am proud of the community leadership in so many areas – municipal, health, social services of all sorts.

My children have been a part of the WCHS for a number years now and I amazed at that school. The Principal is one of the best I have ever known – the music program continues to astound me … This is an extraordinary place to live and I am blessed to be in this area: as a pastor, a husband, as a Dad and as a community member … I pray God’s abundant and surprising blessing upon Wetaskiwin!
