Theatre!!! The Wetaskiwin Theatre Society is always looking for new members. AND you don't have to be an actor. Many of our members use a variety of other talents to contribute to our organization.
BTW, anyone ever consider re-establishing the arts council? It would be great to have a collaborative body to network and cross-promote events. (Yes, I am aware of the City's committee, but I am thinking of something that is exclusively arts focused).

You think walking in the winter, burrrr!!!! But really if you dress in layers, good old long johns and turtlenecks and don't forget your toque! A walk around the Peace Hills Park is absolutely peaceful and a good work out. If your dog is friendly, by all means let them enjoy a walk off the leash, they may even get a chance to chase a deer, or rabbits or foxes, and have a visit and play time with some other friendly dogs, and get to meet some folks you haven't met yet. The scenery is beautiful, you have some hills for that extra work out, the path for the most part is well packed, thanks to the diligent walkers and cross country skiers. There are even some good hills for tobogganing, watch out for the little ski jumps they've built, pack a thermos of hot chocolate and you're good to go! Make an afternoon of it. Lov'in it.
