Wetaskiwin needs a new rec centre/pool that is a permanent structure (not a tent that I heart about). Also, we need more retail stores here because I do not wish to have to drive to Leduc or Camrose to shop. (As for Walmart, I never shop there but have been told that prices are more expensive here).
My jingle? Cars cost less in Wetaskiwin, but everything else costs more.

In February 2009, the City of Wetaskiwin began its sustainability plan, Wetaskiwin Tomorrow. Over the next two years, Wetaskiwin experienced the largest consultation in the City’s history. Now its up to all of us. Wetaskiwin is an amazing place, with even better potential. To reach that potential involves knowing where we want to go and then working towards that vision together. This website is our attempt at such a vision.

Prices here in Wetaskiwin are cheaper than similar items in Edmonton and other cities. I do know this, because I work in Edmonton and shop in both cities.

I think we should try to get a local retailer that still contributes to the local economy rather than all the money going off to big company headquarters somewhere in the states…
