On July 8, 2010 we hosted the first of the Wetaskiwin Tomorrow Think Tank sessions.
The idea was simple — get a bunch of really smart people in a room, give them a challenge that faces Wetaskiwin to discuss and then listen to what they have to say. Our first group was an amazing group of people — Bert Horvey, Ted Hill, Jiselle Sears, Billy Williams and Ian MacLean. They spent the day talking about the following question(s):
What could the City of Wetaskiwin do to create a more inclusive and welcoming city? How could social, cultural and economic conditions be improved to allow for this, and how could the City of Wetaskiwin facilitate and/or create opportunities that would allow for a more inclusive and welcoming community?
