The Welcoming and Inclusive Initiative will be a hosting a meeting of the Provincial Network of Welcoming and Inclusive Communities on September 30, 2010. This will be an opportunity for municipalities to connect, learn about the ongoing work of the Network, share best practices and provide input into the future work of the initiative. The meeting will be held via Webinar to allow greater participation from members while eliminating the costs associated with travel and accommodation. The Network aims to provide a space for the sharing of best practices and lessons learned, work
collectively on the development of resources and initiatives and to broaden the reach of welcoming and
inclusive initiatives throughout the province.

The Welcoming and Inclusive Communities Initiative is a partnership between the Alberta Urban
Municipalities Association, the Alberta Human Rights Commission and the Human Rights branch of
Alberta Culture and Community Spirit.
