Opening May 21, 2011

This exhibit captures the spirit of the Roaring Twenties – everything seemed possible through new technology, especially in automobiles! We have chosen more than 25 cars from this period to reflect not only the technology, but the wide spread prosperity of this short, but exciting era.

Our glimpse into the North American life style in the Roaring Twenties includes snippets of fashion, music, and film.

Our featured luxury vehicle in this display is the 1918 Winton Six Model 48. This car was purchased as a used car by a farmer from Hodgeville, Saskatchewan in New York City in the early 1920s. The new owner had the Winton updated to the styling of 1922. This 1918 Winton was restored by the experts in our Restoration Shop to its 1922 condition.

Other luxury cars on display include a 1923 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, a 1924 Packard Model 226 Touring car, a 1926 Marmon Model 74 Sedan, and a 1929 Duesenberg Model J, the only Duesenberg on public display in Canada.
