The Wetaskiwin Addiction Office is offering a new group to provide services for individuals struggling with addiction. This group will be an open informal gathering to enhance and improve existing coping strategies and may include psychosocial education to individuals who may lack personal resources and supports. The goal of this group is to promote an improved quality of life, health and wellness by reducing or eliminating their substance use.
This group will be held in room #204 of the 2nd Floor of the Provincial Building every Monday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm starting July 4/11. The Relapse Prevention/Harm Reduction Group will be open to all individuals in the community.
A Counsellor will be available during group to provide support and strategies to assist individuals experiencing difficulty coping with their addiction as a result of life events, anxiety, and stress.
Please contact the Addiction Office at 780 361-1358 if you have further questions.
