Lauren DeBruin from The Alberta Library (TAL) will offer a training session for MANGO Language Learning Software on August 8 from 1 — 2 PM at the Wetaskiwin Public Library.

Mango Language Learning Software program focuses on conversation and cultural interpretation. Using this software is like having a dialog and one can record one’s voice over the microphone and compare it with the narrator’s voice. Learn it your way – when, where and how much. The learners are very much in control of their learning load and pace.

Participants can bring their laptops. Please note that anyone bringing their laptop must know their library barcode and PIN so they can log into the database. Lauren will review how to access the database in her presentation, but she will not stop the presentation to help individual people log in or troubleshoot their laptops.

Target audience: Anyone interested in learning languages – French, Spanish, German, Italian, English and many other world languages. All library staff, Integration agents, travellers, and ESL instructors from surrounding areas are welcome to  interested in attending the training.
