Group Members
To lead the planning process, Wetaskiwin City Council has formed a citizens advisory group. Over the months and years to come, the wtCAG will work to get input from Wetaskiwin’s citizens, businesses and other stakeholders. It’s members include:
Alderman Bill Elliot (Chair)
Alderman Bill Elliot was born in Lethbridge, and raised in Edmonton. After completing High School he married and attended the University of Alberta, graduating with a Bachelor of Physical Education Degree and a Professional Diploma in Education. Alderman Gail Taylor
On October 15, 2007 Alderman Gail Taylor was elected to her fourth term in office for the City of Wetaskiwin.
Alderman Taylor was instrumental in the formation of the Communities in Bloom Program in the City of Wetaskiwin. This Committee began in 1999 and has led the City in achieving regional, provincial and national recognition for the beautification of the City. Special mention has been given to Urban Forestry, Floral Display and Community Involvement. In 2003 the City also received the Glad Tidiness Award for the “cleanest community in Canada” from those participating in the program. In 2003 the Alberta Tourism Award from the Friends of Tourism was given to the Alberta Communities in Bloom Program in recognition of the exceptional benefits that CIB brings to communities throughout Alberta. In October 2005 Alderman Taylor was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal for her work with Communities in Bloom and Local Government.
Under the Communities in Bloom portfolio the City has seen the formation of the “Museum Mile” on Highway 13, which visibly showcases the history of the community in Wetaskiwin.

Alderman Mark McFaul
On October 15, 2007 Alderman McFaul was elected to his first term in office for the City of Wetaskiwin.
Mark has been actively involved in the community as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, sitting on the Executive Committee for four years and as Social Chairman for four years. Mark continues to be an active member of the Social committee of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Ashley Enman
From a young age Ashley Enman has had an innate curiosity about life and the people in it. Born and raised in the Wetaskiwin-area, she decided it was necessary to expand her horizons by traveling, and joined the Katimavik Program (Canada’s National Youth Volunteer-Service Program) in September of 2007. Volunteering for nine months in Vancouver, BC, Weyburn, SK, and Sorel-Tracy, QC, Ashley realized her passion for environmentalism and cultural cooperation, and developed the leadership and communication skills necessary to actively step towards the goals of sustainability and peace.
“Wetaskiwin has been my home most of my life,” she says. “During my travels across Canada I came to realize that giving back to your community is so important and rewarding. The Wetaskiwin Tomorrow sustainability project is a positively creative idea that I hope to see bloom in the hearts of many Wetaskiwin-ites.”
Dana Badke
Dana Badke has been a citizen of Wetaskiwin for the past 20 years. She has worked with Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wetaskiwin for 20 years and currently is the Executive Director. Dana enjoys being active in the community as a Rotarian and a volunteer on many community boards and committees that contribute to making Wetaskiwin a great place to live.

Justin Littlechild
Ever since a young age he has always been called “Mr. Know It All” but there is a good reason behind the childhood name. Justin Littlechild is a man of many talents. A radio DJ/Programmer, Concert Promoter, TV Cameraman/Switchboard Operator, Nightclub DJ, Merchandiser, Actor, Stand Up Comedian & High School Student? Yes, this 19 year old is also a member of the Wetaskiwin Tomorrow Committee.
“Variety is the spice of life, variety is my life,” says the 19 year old. “I have to keep myself interested or i lose interest. ”
What made this sleepless teen want to take a ride on the political side?
“People,” he says. “I’ve always been a people person. When I’m public speaking or at a coffee shop. Ive always worked for the people and I always will. A younger and more vibrant edge to the historic WT committee should create interest for the younger demographic. After all, it takes a youth to know a youth!”
